25 Jun Three guidelines to follow to adjust slitters
Posted at 19:33h in Canmaking Process
1. Verify the state of the blades
Make sure they are clean and sharp to avoid defects in the cut edges.
2. Align the blades
Make sure the lower blades are correctly aligned with the superiors to achieve an optimal cut.
3. Configure the nails
The chains that collect the sheet must have each link in the correct tooth of the pinions and the distance between the nails must be correct. This prevents the sheet from deviating and causes problems during the cutting process.
